Chehon was born in Chicago, IL and raised in Sydney, Australia and Zurich, Switzerland. He began dancing at the age of 13 and at 14 was offered a spot at The Royal Ballet School, London. Whilst still a student Chehon received many prestigious dance and choreographic awards, including the Grand Prix at the ‘American Dance Competition’ and the coveted ‘Ursula Moreton Choreographic Award’ in London. Chehon has been invited on various occasions to perform for the Royal Family of England and in Copenhagen for the Queen of Denmark. Upon graduating from the RBS, Chehon joined the Los Angeles Ballet in where he performed various principal roles.
In Twyla Tharp invited Chehon to join her award winning Broadway Show ‘Come Fly Away’. Chehon joined the cast of CFA as the youngest company member, where he performed all the leading roles. His performances and capability to command the stage earned him rave reviews across the US, pr
