Adult film star Kagney Linn Karter’s cause of death has been confirmed after she died at the age of 36.

The late actress, who appeared in countless X-rated films as well as a Louis Theroux documentary, died by suicide at her home in Ohio, last week.

Her loved ones have since started a GoFundMe page to help raise funds for a memorial, with more than $16,000 donated at the time of writing.

TMZ reports that Cuyahoga County officials have now listed her cause of death as a shotgun wound.

Karter first began her career as an exotic dancer in the early 00s, before making the move to California to pursue a singing career.

She made her debut in the adult film industry and took home many awards throughout her career – including the best new starlet trophy at the AVN Awards in 2010.
